Real Madrid, Barcelona planning £60 million Anthony Martial swoop

La Liga giants to fight for Martial

Manchester United have only just made Anthony Martial the most expensive teenager in history, but the Sun believes Real Madrid and Barcelona would be ready to offer the Red Devils a profit on their investment.

The France international cost an initial £36 million, but with a further £8m arriving once he reaches 25 goals for Jose Mourinho's side and that same amount once he earns 25 caps for Les Bleus, United's outlay is likely to be at least £52m before the end of next season.
The report suggests the Spanish clubs would offer £60m, though United would surely be uninterested in a modest return at this stage of the player's development, but Madrid could include a player in return.
Los Merengues could offer James Rodriguez in a swap deal with Zinedine Zidane seemingly unwilling to accommodate the Colombian in his side.
With Paris Saint-Germain also being linked to Martial this week, United certainly seem to be facing a fight to keep the starlet at Old Trafford.

Arsenal plot sensational move for Fabregas

As far as remarkable transfers go, Cesc Fabregas ending up back at the Emirates would rank very highly, but the Express believes Arsene Wenger could be interested in the controversial move.
The Spaniard starred in the Blues' title-winning season and featured in the 3-1 win over Man City due to Nemanja Matic's absence, but ultimately he has been out of favour under Antonio Conte.
The Express believes Wenger sees Cesc as an ideal replacement for the crocked Santi Cazorla, who is injured for three months and becomes a free agent next summer.

Van Dijk escape clause sparks transfer battle

Virgil van Dijk has been a rock for Southampton this season, and the Mirrorreports that the Dutch centre-back has a £25 million release clause that could trigger a race to prize him away from the South coast.
The 25-year-old's physical dominance and composure in possession make him an ideal signing for Premier League giants, and Manchester United, City and Everton are all seriously interested.
Whether Van Dijk would consider the Toffees a large enough step up is unclear, but Saints would likely be especially upset to lose their defensive stalwart to former manager Ronald Koeman, with animosity evidently remaining after the sides' game a week ago.

Toffees join chase for Keane

Everton are evidently after a top centre-back, so the Mirror revealing their interest in Burnley's Michael Keane comes as no surprise.
After Leicester's failed £15 million bid and Chelsea's lingering interest, capturing the former Man United starlet would represent a real coup for the Toffees.

Keane has been in fine form for the Clarets and burst into Gareth Southgate's England setup, meaning a move in the near future is surely on the cards.

Tap-ins

- Chelsea are lining up a move for Inter Milan's super talent Andrea Pinamonti, with the Mirror reporting that Antonio Conte is eager to bring his compatriot to Stamford Bridge.
The 17-year-old is quickly emerging as one of Italy's finest young strikers, and the report suggests he could be available for as little as £400,000, with Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen also keen.
- AC Milan have turned their attention to Ajax's Kasper Dolberg in a bid to boost their attack, according to Tuttosport.
Carlos Bacca's stardom has dimmed quickly under Vincenzo Montella, and the Rossoneri are keen to revamp their attack during their rebuilding process with young, promising players.
